We only powder coat METAL surfaces– steel, stainless steel, aluminum and brass are all common materials.

​

A base coat / top coat is not needed to complete the powder coating process, however they are used for their extra protective benefits. Our primers are recommended for steel surfaces, because of their anti-corrosion properties, and a lacquer is used to give that extra protection to the colour.

It depends on the quality, condition and state of the surface it is being applied to. For example, a vintage bicycle frame may experience pitting, cracks or bubbling during the process, compared to new, raw material. To prevent this from happening as much as we can, we only use industry-leading suppliers, equipment and materials to provide the best possible finish to your product.

All functional parts of the item are masked and plugged before powder coating, so they can be reassembled and reused. We are not responsible for the removal of non-metal parts e.g rubber ends or plastic washers etc.
